Easter ideas for kids

Happy Spring! We are all walking through some very different days. Here are some ideas that you can do at home with your kids to have a meaningful Easter!

1) Use the resurrection eggs to guide your child to learn the accounts of Holy Week. You can find them here or at your local Wal-Mart. (We’ve been doing Walmart grocery/item pickup these days)

2) Read a story from the Jesus Storybook Bible that correspond to these Easter cards from Crew & Co. If you don’t have the cards, that’s okay. Choose a few stories from the Jesus Storybook Bible of the events leading up to Easter.

3) Grab Lacey Rabalais’ Holy Week activity bundle for kids! It’s free! It’s a very practical and simple way to encourage your kids to learn what happened every day in the week before Easter.

4) Look at Sally Lloyd Jones’ Lent Guide for Easter 2020: It’s free! An easy printable to make into a chain!

5) A nighttime Easter egg hunt! This was an idea from a Mom’s group on FB. Hide Easter eggs inside the house, grab a flashlight and let your kids have SO MUCH FUN hunting eggs inside!!

6) Write encouraging verses/messages on your driveway/sidewalk about NEW LIFE and EASTER! Our celebrations will look different this year, but we will be celebrating our Lord!!!

7) Read Easter themed books: The Parable of the Lily, The Garden and the Cross

I hope you have a wonderful Easter!
