God-given Talents- Am I Enough?
Ever felt any of these about yourself?
I don’t know if I have a message to share…
I’m not worthy to share anything…
I am not enough…
I know I have. And ya’ know…
We’re right!
Because on our own we’re NOT worthy, we DON’T have “what it takes” and NOTHING in us is good enough…
But. God.
In today’s episode, I want to face those thoughts head-on - and encourage you with the truth. Because, fortunately, my friend -
Jesus is enough
Jesus in me makes me worthy. Jesus in me provides me with whatever it takes to accomplish what God has called me to do. Jesus in me IS good enough!
Remember the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 24:14-30)? In it, three servants are given specific amounts of money by their master, who was getting ready to take a long trip. One of the servants was given only a small amount, and, fearing his master’s wrath if it was lost, decided to just bury the money for safekeeping. (Spoiler alert: that was a bad idea.)
But do we do that sometimes? Hide behind our works, or minimize how God might work IN us through whatever He’s called us to do? Or just bury our talents because we don’t know the next step we should take?
So here’s the second truth to remember:
God Doesn’t Create Junk
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be like the guy who hid his talents. God has given them to me for good reason. When I use them fully, they can benefit and bless others and give glory to Him.
Knowing I’m not enough on my own - but that Jesus in me makes me enough - well, that makes me want to do some BIG things in life! How ‘bout you?
(And if you need or want some musical inspiration on this topic, go listen to

My question for you
So what has God laid upon your life to start? Now, while it IS important to know that, as my dad used to say “Ya’ gotta put your oars in the water, Wren!” In other words, knowing is only the first part. Knowing - without doing - won’t get you anywhere.
If you’re not sure what your talents are, or how to use them, pray and ask the Holy Spirit, and then listen attentively. Ask those who are closest to you to pray about that also. God may use them to confirm something. And if you’d like, feel free to shoot me a dm on Instagram at @wrenrobbinscoach and let me know what God has laid on your heart to begin. Or else I can pray that God would show you something. Either way, “I gotcha, boo!”
Until next week, friend, remember: life’s too short to wing it!
