Be a super spy in asking questions to your podcast guest!
Picture this.
I really really wanted to ask a ‘big name’ guest to come on my podcast. I KNEW the guest would bring incredible value to my listeners…but Monica Leigh Woods (my imposture syndrome nemesis) kept throwing MAJOR shade my way and, she made me terrified. LEGIT TERRIFIED.
GOOD NEWS: I asked, they said yes and I didn’t die. LOL
Here’s the thing…YOU can feel confident when interviewing a guest. PROMISE.
There are many ways you can be confident when turning that mic on! The main one is to research your guest. Seems pretty simple, huh? And, it is. I always say research them like you are a super spy. MAJORLY.
Why?
Here are three ways why it’s important.
1) You will get to know your guest better on a personal level.
2) Your guest will appreciate the time you put into asking the questions!
3) If you know a little about their personal life, it is extremely helpful when moving from one topic to the next. The conversation will flow when you know how to start out the interview asking about their kids and their latest sport.
A GREAT byproduct of your research is that you will feel more confident in your interview.
And, that is worth it. Every time!
