ep. 47 Questions to Ask When Deciding Who Will Be Your Podcast Guest
2 big opportunities have been presented to me. One was in April and one was in July. 3 years ago I would have JUMPED at the chance, I knew those things were NOT my best yes. They had to be no. Knowing it's a no but still wanting to jump in with both feet has been hard.
The leadership quality you need as a host of your podcast is reflecting before acting.
Learn to say 'no' to the good so you can say 'yes' to the best. ~John Maxwell
Here are some things you can do to make sure you are reflecting before acting.
You have to know what you are called to in your podcast. You may need to take a day to work on your business and spend the day in prayer about it! What are your mission, vision, and values? What is the calling God has given you? Niche down and do that. If you are a Christian Woman, going to the Lord about the decisions you make is imperative in a relationship with Christ and as a Christian business owner.
You have to be unwavering in it and committed to it. Put a stake in the ground and let your calling be your anthem. Now that you know your calling from God, commit to it, talk about it, share it on your podcast episodes. We need to hear you say it out loud over and over. And, I think you need to say it over and over to solidify it for you!
Go with your gut. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit will speak to you. He will guide you and show you the direction to go.
You can know who to have on your podcast by nailing this down FIRST.
Here's how to know what type of podcast guests to have on your show.
Will their message BENEFIT your listeners? You have to know who you are speaking to.
Do they fit into the mission of your business that you can take them with you along the way? (doesn't have to be exact it just needs to be aligned)
Does it make sense for you? Time, schedule, benefit you?
