ep 143: Sophie Hudson: Stand All the Way Up

Hey Ya’ll, it’s wren Robbins and welcome back my friends! When I decided to take a podcst break to rest, reset and reboot for the month of August, I had no idea what was coming! But, God is a God of details and knew that I would be needing to rest when I got the Corona virus.

I am so grateful that I scheduled this rest into my August, bc I didn’t know how much I would need it! Shew Wee, guys!!

But, I’m so glad to be back with you for a new season of women sharing their stories of encouragement, hope and spurring us on in our daily lives!!  Let’s do this, ya’ll!!

Today’s guest is wife, mom, author, and funny lady,  Sophie Hudson. Sophie started writing her blog called BooMama in November of 2005 and has since launched a podcast with writing buddy, Melanie Shankle.  She has written many books including her latest, Stand All the Way Up where she shares stories from her life in a charming way to share encouragement and hope with fellow believers.  She lives with her husband and son in Birmingham, Alabama.  Sophie loves watching football, loves to laugh, and loves music and Netflix!

On this episode, right out of the gate, I ask Sophie to share ab out her latest love of Secret Treasures pajamas from Wal-Mart,  And, yes I did wear them throughout most of my Corona.

“He is always in the business of immeasureably more but sometimes we have to setp outside our comfort zones to experience it.”

“Ultimately, what we want for the people we love is for them to be whole and free.”

“I didn’t think of that, at the time of like I’m gonna stand up for myself (but over a period of time), and over a couple of years of commitment to that, I realized how it had changed my life.”

“…to not be afraid to take yourself off the back burner….which is where the easiest place in the world for us as women to live sometimes.”
