We are the adults. Even though its boring to listen to your child ramble on about Minecraft, ask questions and allow them to feel valued and loved.
Allow them time to spend time with you without demands.
That is the key to have influence because you have poured that relationship into them.
Summer is a really nice time to reconnect.
Its going to require a lot of self control for the adult to shut our mouth and just listen.
We have to show it.
God chose relationship with us and its through that relationship that we are so incapable to do it perfectly.
God’s son lived the perfect life for us because we will never be able to do it.
I want to honor the Lord not bc I have to.
Our power is in our influence through our relationship with our child.
Pour into your child.
