Is Your Podcast Attracting Clients? Ask These 5 Questions with Wren Robbins

I got so many positive comments about episode 17, where we talked about your podcast’s financial ROI with Erica Goode, today’s episode is a follow-up of sorts, with 5 questions to help you analyze the effectiveness of your podcast content ROI. Answering these questions will help you assess how well your podcast attracts potential clients and leads, helping your business grow. 

So towards that end, today I’m going to take you through some of the other questions I work through when doing a podcast audit.

5 Questions to ask yourself to see how effective your podcast may be in attracting clients

  1. Do I offer value? Or is it just me talking to hear myself talk…No value judgments here, but this is a question you need to seriously ask yourself…

  2. Is this something my audience really wants to hear? If it’s not, you don’t need to share it. How do you know? Ask them - that’s called “market research.” For example, the podcast audits I did last month, I’d love to hear from you: was that something that you enjoyed listening to? That benefited you? You can poll your audience on Instagram on stories - that’s what that poll sticker is for!

  3. Is it practical? I’m a practical person, true, but I think that’s what many people want or need. It doesn’t have to be “5 steps…” but it could be a takeaway.

  4. Do I give a strong call to action that actually “moves the needle” in my business? By that, I mean, is my call something that will lead back to my business? Whatever your goals are, my call to action needs to feed into them.

  5. Am I sharing my podcast more than once on social media? Sharing it one time just isn’t gonna cut it! Be creative: share a post, and then share it in stories. Do a video about why someone would want to listen, or even go live, with or without a guest. Or try a reel!
