Your Podcast Isn't Meant for Forever: My Story

Sometimes people are afraid to get started with podcasting because - let’s face it - they’re afraid of the commitment. It just seems like so. much. time/work/effort, etc to commit to.

And if you feel that way, you’d be partially right…

But only partially, because podcasts don’t always last forever!

Let me tell you briefly about mine

Much like life’s seasons, there is a season for your podcast, friend! In today’s episode, I’m sharing the “life cycle” of a podcast, using my story as an example…

5 Questions to Ask Yourself Before You “Drop the mic”

You can use these questions as a way to assess if God might be calling you to a new season…

(And if you don’t think they apply right now, feel free to save them for down the road.)

1 - Has my podcast served its purpose?

2 - Does my podcast contribute to my business goals right now?

3 - How much time is actually going into it? Is there another activity/area that would be better served by that time?

4 - Am I in a different season of life than when I first started it?

5 - What is God calling me to do next? (And this, my friends, is the most important one!)

By asking myself these questions, and with plenty of prayer and counsel, I decided to wrap up my own Friends of a Feather podcast on March 31. Listen to the last episode here!

When I started my first podcast, my business looked very different. One difference is that I didn’t have a coaching business. But - lucky for you - now I do! I love helping Christian women get started: hearing all the creative podcast topics they’re mulling over, and helping them learn all the elements of a good podcast.
