Ep. 82: Retha Nichole: My Light Still Shines

It’s episode 82 and my guest is Retha Nichole. Retha is a certified business coach, founder of My Light Still Shines Coaching Agency, a wife, and a mom to three boys. I started following Retha a couple of years back and I love her encouragement and her practical business advice! On this episode, Retha shares her story of heartbreak, loss, and yet seeing Jesus in all of it. In 2013, right before her third son was born, her husband went into a coma. Pregnant at the time, Retha walks us through the feelings she was experiencing and how God intervened in her life. A lot of truth shared and I know you will be encouraged through her words.

Thank you to the sponsor of today’s episode, Pearl & Rose Designs! One of my very first inteviews was with Shelby, the owner of Pearl and Rose Designs and she was the kindest most bubbliest person I had met in a while. We eventually met in person and I love Shelby! She is such a gift to me and she has such a passion for creating. If you're looking for freehand creations made with love, be sure to check out Pearl & Rose Designs. Shelby Vafinis has been drawing by hand and exploring hand-lettering ever since she could hold a pencil -- which she admits to doing incorrectly, by the way. After majoring in mass communications and minoring in art in college, she worked in the non-profit and corporate worlds, where she was always called upon to use her artistic skills. Once she became a mom staying home with her twin girls (whose middle names are Pearl and Rose), friends encouraged her to submit her lettering work to a local stationery shop, and she has been filling custom orders ever since. To check out her inventory of prints and canvases, please visit etsy.com/shop/pearlandrosedesigns . Follow along with current projects and updates on Instagram and FB .
