ep 71 - What ChatGPT Can Do - And What it Can't Do - For Your Podcast

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a transformative technology that is changing the way we live and work. From personal assistants like Siri and Alexa to self-driving cars and drones, AI is already playing a significant role in our daily lives and it’s not always a good thing!!! ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot that launched in November 2022. In this podcast episode, we explore the 5 things ChatGPT can do for podcasters and 1 very important thing it cannot do.

1 - Formulate the basis for a Cohesive Blogpost - AI can help you avoid the feared “empty page syndrome” by either composing a rough draft (please don’t just copy-and-paste!) or bullet points for your show notes.

2 - Descriptive Episode Titles: ChatGPT can give you descriptive episode titles which I think is the BEST way to use AI for your podcast.

3 - Researching Podcasting Topics: To create a compelling podcast, it's essential to research your topics thoroughly. One way to do this with ChatGPT is to research what podcasting topics people are searching for in your niche. You can type in the search bar 'information people need in (TOPIC)

4 - Transcripts through Descript: Descript is a powerful tool that allows you to transcribe your podcast episodes quickly and accurately. With its advanced AI technology, Descript can transcribe your audio files in real-time, making it easy to create accurate transcripts for your podcast episodes. You can also use Descript to edit your transcripts, add captions, and even create highlight reels for social media.

5 - Detailed Episode Summary for your Description: Using ChatGPT can help you come up with a summary for your episode description. It can take your ‘bullet points’ from your episode notes (see #1) and create a summary for your episode description.

But there’s one thing ChatGpt can’t do for your podcast

ChatGPT can NOT replace you. Your clients buy from you BECAUSE OF YOU. Your email list subs read your emails BECAUSE OF YOU. Your listeners listen to your podcast BECAUSE OF YOU.

And, that is something Artificial Intelligence and Chat GPT CANNOT DO.
